RALPH THARAYIL (*1986 in Liestal), Studied history, media studies and literature in Basel. He works as a journalist, performer and musician, as well as a copywriter for a Hamburg advertising agency. He writes prose, audio clips and poetry. He received the Alfred Döblin Scholarship for his novel ‘Take the Alps Away’. He lives in Berlin.
