Carolin Emcke

CAROLIN EMCKE (*1967), studied philosophy in London, Frankfurt am Main, and at Harvard University. She worked for several years as a foreign editor and correspondent, focusing on crisis regions. Her books have been widely translated and honoured with numerous awards, including the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade. Her most recent publications include «Für den Zweifel. Gespräche mit Thomas Strässle» (2022) – (For Doubt: Conversations with Thomas Strässle) – and «Was wahr ist. Über Gewalt und Klima» (2024) – (What Is True: On Violence and Climate). Emcke lives in Berlin.
