Sultan Yaray (*1971 in Shamrexa, Mêrdîn) is a poet and one of the founders of the Union of Kurdish Writers, a member of the Diyarbakir Poetry Group, the Poetry Group of the Stockholm Institute, the United Kurdish Women’s Platform, as well as being a member of the administrative board of the Kurdish PEN. Alongside her writing, she is also active in addressing political and ecological issues. She lives in Diyarbakir.
