Lena Gorelik

LENA GORELIK (*1981 in St Petersburg) came to Germany in 1992. Her novel «Hochzeit in Jerusalem» (2007) – (Wedding in Jerusalem) – was nominated for the German Book Prize. Alongside her literary work, Gorelik writes essays on social issues for publications such as the Süddeutsche Zeitung and Die Zeit. She has received, among other honours, the Marieluise Fleisser Prize and the Heinrich Mann Prize. Her most recent publications include «Wer wir sind» (2021) – (Who We Are) – and «Trotzdem sprechen» (2023, co-editor) – (We Speak Regardless).
