EDITH GARTMANN (*1967) grew up in Safiental, Graubünden. She trained at the Kindergarten-Seminar Chur, and subsequently lived and worked in Switzerland, Germany, France and England. ‘Sanctuary’ is her debut novel. She lives in Basel.
