ALAIN CLAUDE SULZER (*1953 in Basel) lives as a freelance writer in Basel, Berlin and Alsace. He has published numerous novels, including "A perfect Waiter", "At the Wrong Time" and most recently "Doppelleben". His books have been translated into numerous languages. He has been awarded the Prix Médicis étranger, the Hermann Hesse Prize and the Culture Prize of the City of Basel, among others, for his work.
