LENA GORELIK
Alle meine Mütter (All my Mothers)
How does a daughter cope with her mother’s cancer diagnosis? What changes between them, and what does it reveal about the forces that shaped her mother’s generation? In her new novel, Lena Gorelik turns to the most formative bond of our lives, tracing love and doubt, joy and fear across the many facets of motherhood and daughterhood. This event inaugurates the series «Bodies Tell Stories,» which brings together contemporary texts of intellectual incisiveness and aesthetic assurance to explore questions of genealogy, embodied experience, and structures of violence.
