Torrential rains and broken dams have completely flooded the city. Only scattered islands and towers jutting out of the water remain as living spaces for the few who stayed behind. Occasionally, an alarm sounds: the catfish are coming. But only the children know: they’re not actually that scary. Poetic and fantastical, yet also concrete and powerful. In the face of today’s catastrophic conditions, the literary collective Elen Fern urges a much-needed rethink of tomorrow’s urban planning in order to preserve a glimmer of hope for the future.
