In a remote mountain village, the journalist Vera gets to know a young stranger. She is writing an article about Rhaeto-Romanic literature; he has inherited an old house and is trying to overcome his memories of war. The two of them meet for walks, to eat together and begin to share stories of the past. For this impressive debut novel, Cadonau was awarded the Studer-Ganz-Prize.
