The harbour area is teeming with life: it is one of the few places in Basel offering good living conditions for insects. What looks like weeds and scrub to us, is home to beetles, ants and Co. Between cruise ships and disused railway lines we will dive into ‘The Passion according to G. H.’ by Clarice Lispector. The Brazilian author recounts how an encounter with a cockroach destroys the narrow confines of human identity. A rapprochement with these often unnoticed guardians of our ecosystem.
