URSULA FRICKER (*1965 in Schaffhausen) received critical acclaim for her debut novel ‘Fleeing Water’ (Fliehende Wasser, 2004). Her third novel ‘Frantic’ (Ausser sich) was nominated for the Swiss Book Prize in 2012. In 2022, Fricker was awarded the Culture Prize of the city of Schaffhausen. She lives in the vicinity of Berlin.
