Sasha Marianna Salzmann is a playwright, essayist, and dramaturg based in Berlin. Her debut novel “Beside Myself” (2017) won the Literature Prize of the Jürgen Ponto Foundation and the Mara Cassens Prize, and was shortlisted for the German Book Prize. Her second novel, “Im Menschen muss alles herrlich sein”, (In a Person, Everything must be Beautiful) also nominated for the German Book Prize, earned Salzmann the Literature Houses Prize in 2022 and the Hermann Hesse Prize in 2022.
