Leon Engler (* 1989) grew up in Munich and studied theatre and film studies as well as psychology in Vienna, Paris, and Berlin. He has published numerous plays, radio dramas, and short stories, and in 2022 he received the 3sat Prize at the Bachmann competition. He works as a writer and psychologist. Botanik des Wahnsinns is his debut novel and was nominated for the aspekte Literature Prize 2025.
