Kaśka Bryla grew up between Vienna and Warsaw. In 2015, she co-founded the literary magazine and author network "PS-Politisch Schreiben". She prefers to live and work in collective contexts. She was editor of the monthly magazine an.schläge, received the STARTStipendium in 2013, the Exil Prize for Prose in 2018. 2021 saw the premiere of her play "Das verkommene Land". In 2020 her highly acclaimed debut novel "Roter Affe" was published, in 2022 the novel "Die Eistaucher".
