Isabel Allende

ISABEL ALLENDE (*1942 in Lima) has, since the publication of her debut novel "The House of the Spirits" (1982), gone on to become one of the world's most popular authors. Her books have sold millions of copies and been translated into more than 40 languages. Amongst others, she has been awarded the National Book Award Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters. Allende lives in California.
