A. L. Kennedy

A.L. KENNEDY (*1965 in Dundee, Scotland) author, filmmaker, and playwright, she is regarded as one of the most important voices in contemporary English-language literature. Her work has received numerous awards, including the Austrian State Prize for European Literature, the Somerset Maugham Award, and the Heine Prize. She lives in Scotland. Her most recent publications include Alive in a Merciful Country and Der Kern der Dinge (The Heart of Things) (both 2023).
