Writing about Sexualised Violence
With Lana Lux and Agota Lavoyer
This event will be held in German.
This event is NOT in-house! Museum Tinguely, Paul Sacher-Anlage 1, Basel
Authors Lana Lux and Agota Lavoyer join curator Dr. Sandra Beate Reimann at the Museum Tinguely to talk about their books. Both writers have examined the patterns and dynamics of sexualized violence in their work, helping to promote discussion and raise awareness in the German-speaking world. The discussion is framed by Suzanne Lacy’s video installation, currently on view at the museum, which centres on the Cartas de Mujeres project — letters written by women about their experiences of violence. This event takes the installation as a starting point to reflect on the role of language and writing in addressing gender-based violence.
In cooperation with the Museum Tinguely.
Tickets are priced at CHF 12/18 and can be purchased at the museum on the day of the event; no advance booking is required.
